Canvas Experiencing Login Errors "Your Connection is Not Private" (Resolved)

Information Technology is aware of Canvas experiencing login issues and displaying a message of "Your connection is Not Private". Our vendor is actively working on a resolution to the problem. We invite you to visit this page for further updates as they become available. Updates will be posted at the end of this message until the issue is addressed/resolved. Information Technology is reporting that the Canvas connection privacy error has been escalated to level two support with our vendor. At this point, what has been identified is that this seems to be effecting Xfinity/Comcast users. The error is sporadic and some users have been able to access Canvas 30 minutes or more after first receiving the error or by using an alternate computer.  We have been informed that the error may be caused by certain models of routers/modems. When we receive more information from our vendor, we will post our next update. When we receive more information from our vendor, we will post our next update. Information Technology is reporting that the Canvas connection privacy has been identified as an issue with our DNS and Comcast. The resolution is to call Comcast and ask for our DNS records to be updated for your account.
